Sadness
The Kaelaes kitty went missing a few days before Cristmas. The puppy went to school afte rteh firs tand was talking about how much she misse dher kitty and asking folks if they had seen him. One of her classmates said something along the lines of "oh that's the cat I shot with my new BB gun on christmass morning."Since it's been almost 3 weeks since anyuone saw the Kaeleas Kitty we belive he has crossed the rainbow bridge.The puppy has requested a siameese for her next kitty. So if anyone knows of a female siamese kitten looking for a home please contact me. (yes Knoxville and Nashville areas are within our range of how far we will drive to pick one up.)

Damn... I'll keep my ears open and also ask my Aunt Susan (the great kitten finder)... I presume that mixes are okay so long as coloring & gender match?
BTW when appropriate, give her snuggles and purrs from us and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde... and what a jerk classmate!!!! grrrrrr
If the kitten is free then yup mixes are ok as are tonkaneese or burmease kitties.we are considering actually purchaseing a kitten for her if we do that we will go with a purebred kitty. Mostly we are looking for the temperment of the old temple cats. If we buy a kitty it may well end up a Tonkinesse (even if i can't spell it correctly)
i'll pass them on and ypu i'm less than pleased whith the kid weather or not he was telling the truth.

I am currently searching craigslist right now. I have found someone in Nahville with a listing of persian/siamese 10 month old kittens free to good home. The have pics. It was posted on Jan. 3rd so maybe they will still have a good one.

Hells, I'm sorry. That's a hell of a way to find out too. Luck with finding a new kitty.Consider calling the police about said child? I'm aware that it's less than clear whether he was telling the truth or just trying to cause pain, but given the known links between animal cruelty and bigger problems it might be wise. Not to mention that if, gods forbid, there suddenly starts to be a big problem with animal maimings they have someone that they might look at...
Unfourtuneately most of the cops around here have the "oh it was just a kid haveing fun with a new toy" mentality. There are times when I despise living in the rural south.

Nothing useful to say just now, but I'm so sorry that one of your kids has a psychopath for a classmate. That's just... there aren't words.
